I don’t think it was the blood that made Rex immortal. As the woman from The Family said ‘It’ll drain all of your blood and you’ll die’ or something like that. Meaning it was more than the blood…I hope.
Edit:
I mean to imply that there was no blood in Rex or Jacks bodies when they ‘died’. So it had to be something other...
